Thinking about your wedding photography shouldn’t be one of the things you have to worry about in the lead-up to the big day, especially when there are already so many other things to think about. You want to be able to look natural and enjoy yourself on your big day, so it’s imperative that you feel at ease.

Having full faith in your wedding photographer is just one of the many things that will go a long way to making you feel more organised and less stressed.

To get the most out of your luxury wedding photography, I’ve provided some advice below.

Get to Know Your Wedding Photographer

Taking the time to get to know your wedding photographer can often get neglected in the chaos of wedding planning. Understanding one another a little from the beginning will make it easier for me to accurately capture the moments and minor details that matter the to you – and even if you’re unsure what you want, I can show you examples and gently guide you to help discover your style.

It’s important to feel comfortable with your wedding photographer so an initial call is a great way to put faces to names and break the ice, because I’ll be silently recording your every movement throughout the day and you’ll be your happiest and best selves if you’re totally at ease with me – most of the time you won’t even know I’m there!

So, to capture the best wedding photographs, I will always arrange an initial consultation with couples to get to know you better and help you feel confident before your wedding and at ease in front of the camera on the day.

Your Wedding, Your Photos

Every relationship has a fascinating history that needs to be documented in the wedding photographs, and every wedding is as unique as the pair getting married. So, don’t be hesitant to propose wild and wonderful suggestions or interesting settings for wedding photoshoots that I may not be aware of.

My aim is to capture the photographs you’ve always imagined and expect from your day, especially if the location is of special significance to you and your partner – I want to know what it means to you in order to take full photographic advantage of the location and surrounding beauty.

If you’re getting married in a rural location, your photos will have a rustic and natural look as opposed to being taken in a city centre location. Think about the look you want to achieve, and the places you want to be photographed as all these small details can make a big difference – all this can be discussed when you book an initial consultation.

It’s all about timing!

To achieve great wedding photographs without feeling rushed, think about creating a realistic plan for your wedding day. You want to feel confident knowing that all the major (and minor) details have been considered because it’s amazing how quickly the day passes by in reality.

Having been a professional wedding photographer for many couples, I’ve gotten used to the flow of weddings, so to make sure everything runs as smoothly as possible and let you enjoy the day without worrying about a thing, I take the time to check in with your wedding planner or venue management about timings throughout the day.

The goal of my wedding photography service is to accurately capture the culmination of months or even years you’ve spent waiting to celebrate your big day – I’ll make sure it goes off without a hitch. I’ll preserve memorable moments with documentary-style wedding photography that captures all the sentiment and humour enjoyed with friends and loved ones.
